Farmers visit to KVK
Twenty-two Live stock holders of area visited along with their ailing cattle to the Kendra for diagnosis of disease and their remedy. Besides twenty Farmers visited this Kendra for seeking advices for their orchard layout and for Soil sampling. Scientist of Kendra gave on spot recommendations to the visitors. |
Scientists visit to farmers field
Thirty-one farmers were benefited as the experts and the scientists of the Kendra visited to different localities viz; Narkura, Bughgam, Banderpora, Gopla pora, Rawalpora and kralpora villages of district Budgam. Farmers were given on-spot instructions in their fields regarding various problems of live stock and horticulture crops. |
2.0 Trainings |
For practicing farmers/ Rural women, following trainings were conducted.
1. Training programme on scientific cultivation of Saffron
Extension hal,SKUAST-K, Shalimart w.e.f 1st-8rd 2008.
2. Training programme on Bio-Diversity conservation in collaboration with NGO’s at village Narkura on 10th march 2008
3 Maize cultivsation technique
at Village Dalwash on 13-03- 2008
4. Demonstration of soil sampling
at village Dalwash on 13-03-2008
5. Integrated nutrient management of minor vegetables
at Village Bughgam on 15-032- 2008
6. Disease free raising of vegetable nursery .
at Village Bughgam on 15-02- 2008
7. Training programme on Mushroom cultivation at Banderpora, Budgam on 17-03-2008
8. Training programme on Disease management of potato
at KVK, Budgam in collaboration with Division of Plant pathology/ Entomology on 18th March 2008
9 .Training programme on integrated pest and disease management in apple.
at KVK, Budgam in collaboration with Division of Plant pathology/ Entomology on 19th March 2008
10. Training programme on Vegetative propagation of walnut under controlled condition at SKUAST-K, Shalimar. |
For In-service following trainings were conducted.
- 1. “Management of Broiler poultry farming” at Sub Division Office Chadura, Budgam (G.O.J &K) on 10-03-2008
- 2. “Integrated nutrient mamnagement and onfarm nutrient cycling” at Sub Division Office Chadura, Budgam (G.O.J &K) on 10-03-2008
- 3. Training programme on Mushroom cultivation at Banderpora, Budgam on 17-03-2008
- 4. “Food additives and their safe use” at Chief Horticulture office Budgam on 24-03-2008
- 5. “Effect of pollen and pollination in fruit set and yield” at Chief Horticulture office Budgam on 24-03-2008

a) Lecture on Mushroom Cultivation was delivered by Dr. G.A.Wani, Programme Coordinator at village Banderpora, Budgam.
b) Lecture on Summer management of Broiler was delivered by Dr. Kamal Hashan Bulbul, SMS (A.H) at S.D.O, Chadura, Budgam.

TV talk was delivered by the SMS (A.H) of Kendra regarding Boiler management. |
